I’m a proud nurse, a mother of four beautiful children, and a U.S. Army Reservist. But before this chapter of my life, I faced one of the hardest battles of my life—a devastating divorce that left me homeless, without custody of my children, and with minimal funds to rebuild. It was a time of heartbreak and uncertainty, but I knew I couldn’t let my circumstances define me.

Living paycheck to paycheck as a nurse while serving my country in the Army Reserves, I found solace in an unexpected place: crafting my own body butter. Traditional lotions with their water-heavy formulas never seemed to provide the lasting moisture I needed, leaving my skin dry and frustrated. Determined to find a solution, I began experimenting in my kitchen.

After countless attempts, I finally created a formula that worked wonders. Not only did it keep my skin soft and hydrated, but the process of making it brought me joy and peace—a moment of self-care amidst the chaos.

One day, while on military duty, a fellow soldier and friend forgot his lotion. He suffered from psoriasis and asked to borrow some of my body butter, even though it had a feminine scent.
